Throughout her personal journey and in her designs, Nobieh Talaei’s world is marked by numerable crossroads. Far from generating uncertain turns, however, these intersections between east and west, divergent cultures and times have been points of creative convergence and ongoing inspiration for the Berlin-based designer.

Born in Tehran, Talaei moved to Berlin when she was 11 years old.
After completing her fashion studies at Esmod Berlin in 2003, merchandising and retail management positions for international fashion labels followed, as did a short but formative stint in interior design highlighting modernist icons.

These different chapters, she notes, all helped lay the conceptual and aesthetic foundations for her company Nobi Talai which she founded in Berlin in summer 2015. From the outset, Nobi Talai has stood out for its individual blend of heritage and modernity, handcraft and innovation, and pure, minimalist lines wed to exceptional detail. The collection is composed of special pieces with long-lasting allure, clothes whose built-in flexibility invites personalization while providing everyday functionality.

Manufactured in Europe of the finest fabrics, many customized for the label, Nobi Talai is carried by leading retailers in Germany, Austria and Dubai. Nobieh Talaei presents her collections in Berlin and Paris and stages a showroom during Paris Fashion Week. The Nobi Talai online shop will launch in autumn 2020, with a retail store slated to open later that year.
